After a half day dog fight of a trial, Mr. Winsberg and Mr. Gamble obtained sole custody of two dogs for their client. The client and dogs are very happy!

Mr. Winsberg has been asked to present at the Louisiana State Bar Association’s Annual Estate Planning Seminar. He will speak on prenuptial agreements and estate planning. The seminar will take place in New Orleans on September 6, 2019.

Recently, Mr. Winsberg and Mr. Gamble were successful in getting a trial court to reject several recommendations of a special master relating to novel issues concerning child support.

Mr. Winsberg began his tenure as the Chair of the New Orleans Bar Association Family Law Committee. He is planning several CLEs for the year, including a meet and greet with the family law judges of Orleans Parish and a seminar on Collaborative Divorce.

Marc Winsberg has been asked to chair the Family Law Committee of the New Orleans Bar Association. He is honored to take over from Steve Lane, who did an excellent job as the chair for many years.

Winsberg, Heidingsfelder & Gamble recently recovered over $920,000.00 for a client from her ex-husband, who had defaulted on his obligations under a community property partition judgment.

Last week, the Louisiana Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal affirmed a trial judgment that dismissed domestic abuse allegations against Winsberg, Heidingsfelder & Gamble’s client and awarded him 50/50 custody of his four year old son. Plaisance v. Plaisance, No. 18-CA-84 (La, App. 5th Cir. 9/13/2018).

In July 2018, after being enrolled in the case for less than a year, Mr. Winsberg and Mr. Gamble assisted their client in resolving a multi-million dollar community property partition that had dragged on for more than 15 years.

Winsberg, Heidingsfelder & Gamble recently obtained dismissal of tort claims of domestic abuse against a husband. The dismissal was based on the fact that the claims had previously been dismissed in the parties’ divorce proceedings.

The Fourth Circuit Court of Appeal recently affirmed an award of sole custody to a father represented by Mr. Winsberg and Mr. Gamble. The ruling was primarily based on parental alienation by the mother.

The Fourth Circuit Court of Appeal recently affirmed an award of over $95,000.00 to a Winsberg, Heidingsfelder & Gamble client! The fees were awarded to a father for having to defend a series of baseless claims of child abuse brought by the mother.
